TN Stars Baseball is a competitive travel baseball organization serving players and families throughout Goodlettsville, Sumner County, and northern Middle Tennessee. Our mission is to develop fundamentally sound baseball players while building confidence, character, and a love for the game.
-
We currently offer teams for players ages 7U through 11U, with additional age groups added as our organization continues to grow.
-
At TN Stars, we're committed to developing complete players, not just winning games.
We believe competition accelerates development, and that winning is the result of doing the little things the right way. Our coaches focus on teaching fundamentals, building baseball IQ, developing confidence, and creating a positive team culture where players can thrive both on and off the field.
-
Absolutely.
While many of our players have previous travel baseball experience, we also welcome players transitioning from recreational leagues. We value coachability, effort, athleticism, and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.
-
Our goal is to develop players for long term success.
We emphasize strong fundamentals, baseball IQ, confidence, accountability, and teamwork while helping players grow both as athletes and as young men. We believe great coaching prepares players for the next level, not just the next tournament.
-
Practice schedules vary by age group and season, but teams typically practice one to two times per week and compete in one to two tournaments per month during the fall season. Families receive schedules as early as possible so they can plan ahead.
-
Tournament schedules vary by team and age level, but most teams compete in one to two tournaments per month from August through November. Tournament formats typically include a mix of one day and two day events.
-
Most tournaments are within driving distance of Middle Tennessee, with previous events held in locations such as Murfreesboro, Bowling Green, and surrounding areas.
Any travel requiring overnight accommodations would be discussed with and agreed upon by each individual team before plans are finalized.
-
We strive to keep travel baseball affordable for families.
Typical expenses include:
• Uniform package: approximately $100 to $150, depending on the number of jerseys selected by the team.
• Optional alternate jersey: approximately $115, although many teams secure sponsors to help offset this cost.
• Tournament fees: generally $35 to $60 per player, per tournament, depending on tournament entry and gate fees.
Families receive complete cost information before accepting a roster spot.
-
Absolutely.
We encourage young athletes to participate in multiple sports, especially at younger ages. Playing different sports helps develop athleticism, coordination, competitiveness, and reduces the risk of burnout.
-
Players are selected through annual tryouts or private evaluations when roster openings become available.
-
If you're unable to attend our scheduled tryouts, please contact us. Depending on roster availability, we may be able to schedule a private evaluation.
-
We evaluate much more than talent.
Our coaches look for players who demonstrate:
• Strong fundamentals
• Athletic ability
• Coachability
• Competitiveness
• Positive attitude
• Work ethic
• Team first mentality
We're looking for players who love the game and want to continue improving.
-
We believe the best experience happens when coaches and families work together.
We ask parents to encourage effort, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude while trusting coaches to teach, develop players, and make game decisions. A positive, supportive environment helps every player enjoy the game and reach their full potential.
-
Each team maintains regular communication regarding schedules, practices, tournaments, and important updates through its designated communication platform. We believe clear and consistent communication is key to creating a great experience for players and families.

Choosing a travel baseball organization is about more than wins and losses. It's about finding coaches who invest in your player, teammates who encourage one another, and a culture that supports both development and character.
At TN Stars, our goal is to create an environment where players are challenged to improve, compete with confidence, and build friendships that last well beyond the baseball field. We believe that when players love coming to the field, growth naturally follows.
